I feel really stupid. I’m not really sick. I’m just faking it. I forced my work on Angeliz, I’m ridiculous. But, I do believe that she can persuade Takamina and the management to accept the offer. She’s good at that. But still, I feel bad that I did that. I just feel too tired and stressed to work. I’m beginning to give up and just shut down the company. I just want a simple, peaceful life now, but that’s not gonna happen.
Suddenly, I remember about what happened the day before yesterday. Does he really still…? No, no. I don’t think so. I don’t even think he took our relationship seriously. It must be because I wasn’t able to spend time with him in the past. I feel so jealous whenever I see Blake and Bianca together. It makes me want to scream. But, I don’t have the right to do that, after all I was the one who decided to break up. How could I be such a fool?
Suddenly, someone opens the door and enters the room. It’s Angeliz. I throw a pillow at her face.
“HOW DARE YOU BARGE IN MY HOUSE!” I shout angrily.
“YOU LEFT THE DOOR WIDE OPEN, SMARTASS.” Angeliz replies.
“HOW DO YOU THINK I GOT IN HERE? I’M TOO FAT TO BE LIKE SPIDERMAN. GEEZ, DO YOU WANT THEIVES TO STEAL ALL YOUR STUFF? THIS MAY BE A PRIVATE PROPERTY, BUT YOU SHOULD TRY TO KEEP IT A BIT SECURE.”
I calm myself down and I start speaking.
“So, why are you here?”
“I came by to get the files about the appointment.”
…I didn’t want to even hear the word ‘work’ today. That word just makes my blood boil now.
“DON’T BOTHER SOMEONE ABOUT WORK THIS EARLY IN THE MORNING!”
I throw a book at her and it hits her right in the face.
“OW, SHIT, SHIT! WHERE IN THE WORLD DID THAT BOOK COME FROM!?”
“I keep a book under my bed just in case some burglar comes in.”
“AND THE BOOK PROTECTS YOU, HOW?”
“It stuns them for a while.”
Angeliz turns speechless. After a few moments, she facepalms.
“Dumbass.” Angeliz mumbles.
“WHAT WAS THAT!?”
“Nothing. I’ll get the files now. Oh, and are you sure you’re really sick? It looks like you’re perfectly fine now.”
“I AM SICK, DAMMIT!”
“It’s hard to believe. Waiiiitttt… DON’T TELL ME YOU FORCED ME TO DO THIS SHIT JUST BECAUSE YOU’RE FUCKNG LAZY!”
“I AM NOT LAZY, YOU BITCH. HOW AM I LAZY? I OWN ONE OF THE TOP FASHION COMPANIES IN THE WORLD. AND YOU, YOU BARELY EVEN GO TO WORK.”
“I WORK AT HOME, SO I DON’T HAVE TO ‘GO’ TO WORK, IDIOT.”
This conversation’s really just getting out of hand…
I could hear people shouting from the inside of Arissa’s house. Zoe, Blake, Miguel and I decided to pay Arissa a visit because she wasn’t feeling too well. Blake knocks on the door, but it creaks open just when he was about to knock. We get in and we go upstairs. The shouting was getting louder and louder, I wonder what was happening there?
“ADMIT IT, YOU ARE A LAZY ASSSSSSS!”
“YOU ARE TOO, DUMBASSSSSSS!”
“I KNOW THAT, BAKA!”
“UGH, YOU’RE SO FUCKING ANNOYING!”
We all finally got up. We search for the source of the screaming and shouting. The voices that were shouting at each other sounded familiar, one of them was obviously Arissa, but she wouldn’t be able to shout like that if she was sick. I wonder if she’s just faking it… But why would she? Suddenly I hear a loud growl… What was that just now? Blake finds out that the source of the shouting and the weird growl came from Arissa’s room. How does he know her house well? I wonder.
Miguel opens the door and I see Angeliz lying down on the ground and Arissa lying down on her bed. They both look really tired.
“Er, what the hell just happened here?” Zoe asks.
“Ohaider. I’m hungry.” Angeliz says drowsily.
“Waitt… That growl was your stomach!?” Miguel says in shock.
“AY HINDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” Angeliz shouts sarcastically. She gets up.
“BLAKE, COOK BREAKFAST WILL YOU!?” She shouts.
“WHY ME?!” Blake asks.
“Because Arissriss’ sick, Bianca, Zoe and Miguel suck at cooking. So go.” Angeliz replies.
“You help me then.” Blake says.
“Unless you want nigga bacon, no.” Angeliz answers.
“OHMYGOD, NIGGA BACONNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA” Miguel laughs loudly.
“Wait, Zoe can’t cook?” Blake asks.
“Yeah.” I say.
“THEN HOW DID-!?” Twinny interrupts Blake.
“THAT WASN’T MY COOKING, MAX MADE THAT.”
“Yeah, we requested Max to bake some cupcakes for the play last time. I think we’d have to go through a zombie apocalypse before Zoe would learn how to cook well.” Angeliz says jokingly.
“That’s true.” Zoe says and giggles.
“What are you guys talking about?” I
“Yeah, what’s this play about?” Miguel follows.
“Oh it’s about-“
“SAY ANYTHING, YOU WILL LITERALLY DIE IN A HOLE.” Twinny says.
“OW SHIT. WHAT IS WILL YOU PEOPLE AND THROWING BOOKS?!” Angeliz says while lying on the ground.
“I KNOW RIGHT!” Miguel shouts.
“What do you mean? This is the first time I threw a book at you.” Zoe says.
“ARISSA THREW A BOOK AT ME JUST A WHILE AGO.” Angeliz shouts.
“Sorry onee-chan.” Arissa says.
“ONEE-CHAN!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!! WHY DOES SHE-!? AHAHAHAHAHAH” Miguel laughs his ass off. I couldn’t stop myself from laughing either. We both laugh uncontrollably.
“ARISSA, JUST SHUT UP.” Angeliz shouts.
“I guess it’s to make you smarter, after all, you are a dumbass.”Twinny replies.
“Knowledge hurts a lot. I’ll stick to being a dumbass.” Angeliz says.
I fall to the ground. My stomach hurts, I still can’t get over the fact that Arissa called her onee-chan. If they were sisters, I’d say Arissa should be the older one, Angeliz is a child at heart. She’s like a preschooler.
“You okay?” Blake asks.
I nod while trying to hold my laughter. It’s still too funny.
“By the way, about Nikki’s accident…” Angeliz gets up and fixes herself.
I stop laughing. My heart pounds really quickly, as if I were nervous. But why? Wait… Why am I even wondering about that, of course I’d feel nervous! I’m an idiot.
“Milady, Arissa Reyes will not be able to have an appointment with AKB0048 due to her sickness. She is currently bedridden.” Sebastian says.
“And so?” say.
“Her older sister, Angeliz Reyes will be replacing her and she will be the one to explain their company’s deal to AKB0048.”
“Don’t talk about things I don’t care about. Leave.”
“I’m truly sorry, Milady.” Sebastian says and leaves.
… That name sounds awfully familiar… I guess its nothing.
I pick my phone up and answer the call.
“Takamina-san~! This is Nyan-nyan speaking~! We’re going to have practice at the studio later todayyy~! “
The call ends. She is one of the most annoying abomination on earth, but not as annoying as… not as annoying as her. I absolutely hate her. That sl*t, that b*tch, that devil, that demon, that backbiter. She is the most horrible person I’ve met in my entire life. How dare she steal… How dare she steal my treasure… The treasure of my life!
I hate reminding myself of what happened in the past, it makes me feel ridiculous. But it also reminds me that I’m rich and famous, and she’s not. I don’t know what the hell happened to her life, but I hope her life’s a living hell.
“Why do we have to talk about Nikki’s accident ever so often? It’s simply idiotic. The police are already working on it, we don’t have to investigate, we just need to wait.” I say arrogantly. I hate how Angeliz just keeps bringing this direful topic up.
“Zoe, we’re in the Philippines. The cops here are bullcr**, they can’t work, they’re stupid. You shouldn’t be depending on such incompetent people.” Angeliz replies.
“Don’t generalize the cops in our country. Stop looking at your own opinion on things and look at everything first before assuming.” I answer back.
“I’m not looking at my own opinion; I’m just simply telling you this wonderful thing called reality.”
“How would you know?!”
“Because I do.” Angeliz says and leaves the room.
“I’m sorry. This is all my fault.” Blake says.
“Why are you apologizing?” Miguel asks.
“It isn’t your fault, it’s nobody’s fault.” Arissa says trying to cheer Blake up.
“Could you please explain to all of us what you’re two are talking about?” I ask.
“…” They both stay silent.
“Hey, are you listening?” I ask again.
“Hey guys, can you please just tell us?” Miguel asks.
“Fine.” Blake says.
“Don’t force yourself.” Arissa says, concerned for Blake.
I look at Bianca; I can sense that she’s jealous.
“I’ll just say it.” Blake says and pauses for a while. He breathes deeply and continues.
“So, here’s what happened…”
“We were college that time, I joined a fraternity just because I would be called gay if I didn’t join one. I know, stupid. I didn’t want my rep to be ruined, so I had to join one.” Blake says.
“You are an idiot.” Miguel says.
“I know that.” Blake answers.
“Hey, don’t insult him!” Bianca shouts.
“It’s alright, really.” Blake replies and smiles at her.
“So, anyway, you know about fraternities beating up guys who want to join, right? So, I was ganged up. I can fight, but I can’t fight a lot of people at once, so I got beat up. Angeliz and Arissa saw me from a distance and beat the shit out of all of them. There were about seven guys, I think. Arissa was nearly knocked out, the guys took it easy on Arissa since they all liked her and didn’t want to hurt her. Angeliz got a scar on her shoulder, since she was the strongest, they pursued her with knives. I got bruises and scars since they whacked me with baseball bats and stabbed me with knives. I thought I was done for. I never really thought that Angeliz could fight for that long and against that much people though. I guess I underestimated her abilities, Arissa’s abilities as well.” Blake says.
“So, what the fuck does the police have to do with this” I say impatiently.
“Wait, I’m getting there.” Blake says.
Bianca’s face was simply priceless; she’s just too affected with his story.
*RING, RING!* A phone rings loudly.
“Oh, I’m sorry for disturbing. Excuse me for a second.” Arissa says, gets up and leaves the room to answer the call. We all patiently wait for her to return, when suddenly….
“WHAT!? ARE YOU SERIOUS!? I’LL GO THERE RIGHT AWAY!”
